I'm sick, this makes me sick. A trade with the Dodgers? Gross.
Talion has been a complete disappointment this year, he's over here giving up like 5 runs as I type this. Maybe he turns it around, but in the meantime he's actively costing me points. This is a stupid prospect package going out the other. I don't want to get rid of Carpenter but now that I have like 4 LFs he's completely expendable. I'm sad to see Valdez go, the rest could easily put it together and haunt me in the division for years to come.

The 1st Dodgers/Giants trade since Mark Sweeney for Travis Denker (2007) 
If it doesn't happen again for another 16 years, I'd be fine with it.  LOL

This trade was something in between: Trying to stubbornly NOT throw in the towel on an injury plagued season, and having the sense to try to make something good happen.

Carpenter has shown promise throughout his minor league career and has flashed some of that talent this year.  Valdez did decent work during his short time up this year. Colemanerez and Crow are both Top 30s, but still have ways to go.  Correa has big league stuff right now, but needs to find the zone more. A random lotto ticket at the end, and I'm happy with the return (although I pressed for more LOL) .   

Dodgers select the contract of (OF) Kerry Carpenter once the trade is finalized.
