Fwiw with the current rules next year is projected at $130m for a cap if its 50% of the difference between 110m and the expected NBA salary cap which is 150ish.

25/26 a major impact would occur, as it would it would cut it from being 165 to 136.

26/27 is projected to be at 181 so your proposing we wait and make it jump from 136 to 181.  Which seems like the opposite of cap smoothing, imo.

The original update that Billy locked in was actually a smoother path. 110 > 130 > 165 > 181

VS the newly proposed path of 110 > 124 > 136 > 181.

Just to clarify, the estimated path under the new proposal would be 110 - 124 - 136 - 150 - 165 - 181 (rolling two seasons earlier).
To limit as much as possible the impact of changing the rules in the middle of FA, if we decide to approve the adjustment, we will keep for 2024/25 the cap as 50% of the difference between 110m and the expected NBA salary cap next season (estimated 150m). We will start with the 2 years earlier rolling cap system only from season 2025/26.
The estimated path in this case would be:
- current season 110m
- next season 130m
- 2025/26 136m
- 2026/27 150m
- 2027/28 165m
- 2028/29 181m.
Players salary table will be adjusted each season proportionally with the increase in salary cap

The proposal for an adjustment to the salary cap has been approved.

We will keep for 2024/25 the cap as 50% of the difference between 110m and the expected NBA salary cap next season (estimated 150m). We will start with the 2 years earlier rolling cap system from season 2025/26.

The estimated path would be:
- current season 110m
- next season 130m
- 2025/26 136m
- 2026/27 150m
- 2027/28 165m
- 2028/29 181m.

The spreadsheet will be updated accordingly to the estimated cap above

  • Daddy: Honestly i love the deal because my GMs love it. I dont say good deal bad deal or i like this side better.  My goal is to provide a fair platform where people are free to trade and not be judged because nobody knows for sure how these trades will play out. Lots of ACLs are gonna tear between now and new years.  Im always happy that two strangers with different backgrounds can meet in our league and enjoy freedom to be themselves and do what THEY THINK is best. I love every deal. (Had to share that @Braves) :toast:
