I have some questions:
- what is the deadline for communicating free drops?
- when will the free agent market open? Just a quick clarification also on free agent bid procedure. Is it an auction with visible and increasable bids or is in the form of sealed bids? For example, if I want to make a $40mn bid for Ingram, should I post a visible offer on the dedicated section in the forum? If someone offers $50mn, can I increase my offer?
- what is the best way to propose a trade to another team? Private messages, chat, a dedicated section on the forum?
Thanks a lot in advance

Free drops will lock when we start FA (there is currently no date to start FA as our off season schedule will depend on when the NBA plans on starting their season. The plan is for the rookie draft to take place before we start FA but that will depend on how soon the regular season starts after the real life draft

As for how FA works, all Free Agency goes on in transaction board here. When free agency opens, someone must start a post for that player and post a starting bid. If someone wants to up it; they have to reply to that post with the higher bid. This goes on until 48 hours have passed with no new bids. If someone ups your bid, you have to post another new bid to keep going for that player. For example if someone starts a post on Ingram at $40m, next reply needs to up that bid then keep going until no one ups it for 48 hours.

And for trades, private messaging is the best way to go. If you have specific players you are looking to move, you can post them in the trade discussion post to see if anyone will reach out about those players.

Rookie Draft Player Pool Question

Is there a specific list of players that are available to be taken in the rookie draft?

1) Is it any player that has not played in the league yet and is not on a team? (IE: the 14 year old that lives down the block from me that people say is the next LBJ or Jordan, high school players expected to be drafted in 2021, 2022, 2023, etc plus all the 2020 guys).

2) Only the players actually drafted in the 2020 draft?

3) This is my assumption, but it's never good to assume. Any player that has declared for the 2020 NBA draft, so early entrants, plus college seniors?

Thanks and thanks for all of the other clarifications. Its been helpful.

After the real life draft is completed, I will post the list of the 60 players drafted. Those guys comprise the eligible list plus any undrafted player who was eligible for the draft.

In the rules on the forum it specifies 6 bench roster spots. In Fantrax it says I have 12 bench roster spots.

In the rules on the forum it specifies 6 bench roster spots. In Fantrax it says I have 12 bench roster spots.

The way I list it in rules just makes it easier with it stating 6 starters, 6 bench slots. Fantrax it's still really a max of 6 bench slots when you have all 6 starter spots filled. The 12 is just in the rare instances that maybe you don't have all 6 starter spots filled and have more than 6 on bench. Regardless of what the bench states though, the max roster size is 12.

Only question i have at the moment is where/when do we find out who has what pick for this inaugural year?
I've noticed Pistons have posted on the trade block that they're open to moving specifically pick 7 in this year's draft (or whichever pick it may have been) but I dont see anywhere that shows a list of who has what pick.
Also didn't see in the rules anywhere that explained what will be happening this year.
Will it be done by reverse rankings of where the actual NBA teams finished last year?
Does it follow that draft order of the actual NBA draft (ignoring picks that were traded already)?
Or is it done as a full lottery?

The draft order is the same as the real life order. The draft order can be found here on the league spreadsheet.

ah yep, thats pretty clear, somewhat wish i had've seen that earlier but all good.

only other thing, at what time are we ok to put our extension claims in? can they be done now? do we have to wait until at least the first game of the season? or is it some other date?

Julio Aguilar/Getty ImagesJayden Daniels was selected by the Washington Commanders in the 2024 NFL Draft By Fernando Franco Puga  The Washington Commanders have received some very bad news. Jayden Daniels, who they picked with the 2nd overall pick in the 2024 Draft, may soon be banned from the NFL after violating a very important rule.   In the 2024 NFL Draft, several teams were in need of a top quarterback to bolster their offenses. With the 2nd overall pick, the Commanders decided to select Jayden Daniels, one of the best prospects at the position.  Daniels had a remarkable path through LSU, even breaking some of Joe Burrow’s records. However, the quarterback’s career is now in jeopardy after he admitted to breaking the league’s rules regarding gambling.   Jayden Daniels openly admits to violating the NFL’s gambling policy Worrying news has arrived in Washington today. Jayden Daniels, their 1st-round pick this year, has openly admitted to violating the NFL’s gambling policy, and his rookie season is in jeopardy.  NFL Draft: Jayden Daniels admits whether he'd like to play for the Washington Commanders SEE ALSO  NFL Draft: Jayden Daniels admits whether he'd like to play for the Washington Commanders  During a recent appearance on the “All Facts, No Brakes” podcast, Daniels revealed that he has a bet with Malik Nabers, the New York Giants‘ 6th overall pick, on who’s going to be this year’s NFL Offensive rookie.   “Man, he wasn’t supposed to tell nobody,” Daniels said about Nabers revealing the bet. “We got a little something going on. I mean, he put it out there, so it’s like I can’t say he cap.”  Keyshawn Johnson, host of the podcast, asked Daniels about the bet. The quarterback admitted that the wager for $10,000 is real, but he was clearly uncomfortable with the question.    Jayden Daniels Jayden Daniels with LSU “Going against him is gonna be fun,” Nabers said, via the New York Daily News. “We got a bet going for Rookie of the Year. Whoever loses gotta pay, I think it’s $10,000 cash.”  Nabers and Daniels were teammates at LSU. They are set to meet in at least two games in the upcoming season. However, this gamble could get them both banned from the NFL, as they are clearly violating the league’s gambling policy.  What does the NFL gambling policy says about betting? This situation will pose a huge challenge for the Commanders and the Giants. The league strictly prohibits players from engaging in any form of gambling related to the NFL, as it undermines the integrity of the game.  SEE ALSO  2024 NFL Draft picks by team: How many picks does each team have?  The policy explicitly prohibits ‘private wagers between teammates, family and friends, or others.’ This situation could land the two rookies in trouble, potentially resulting in a ban for the former LSU players.  SURVEY Should Jayden Daniels and Malik Nabers be banned over their bet?  Yes No ALREADY VOTED 1162 PEOPLE  Fernando Franco Puga Fernando Franco is an accomplished writer and sports journalist specializing in soccer, NFL, MLB, and MMA.
