Okay, so... Brandon Woodruff is great. Worth a thousand points. im trading him straight up for a 19 year old prospect. I am in the process of rebuilding and with this trade would have a stable of prospec pitchers headlined by Andrew Painter, Bobby Miller, Gordon Graceffo and Sixto Sanchez. Most of my deals have targeted upside and getting Andrew Painter makes me feel really good about the future. Ive traded away a lot of offense but kept the prospect bats i wanted to keep and have the same starting offense i started with and have a definite plan in the draft. Seattle is feeling really good about the future.

A's have been looking for a ace caliber SP and found one here in woodruff and feel like this is exactly the type of player we need to be competitive

The Commissioners Office vetoes this trade based on league integrity and competitive balance.

Woodruff was just acquired by for three top 100 prospects. Perhaps a slight overpay, perhaps perfect value. Either way a good trade in terms of value being sent by both and

However, nothing has changed regarding Woodruff or his value in the following days since that trade. It is incomprehensible that Woodruff could now be had for one top 25 prospect, who is barely ranked in the top 5 at his own position.

In a 30 team league, a player with 3 years of control remaining who is capable of scoring between 700-1200 points a season must be traded for more value than one prospect. Woodruff for Francisco Alvarez or Gunnar Henderson alone would still be problematic on a league this deep.

The teams are welcome to appeal the veto to the trade committee for vote, drop the trade, or rework and post a new trade.

I would have to agree with above.

While I think Painter has high upside, a proven Ace like Woodruff should fetch more for competive balance of league. The piror deal with on other hand, I also think, was pretty good value both ways.
