Weird deal for the Jays, but the club needed to cut cap and accomplished that and gained a valuable OF in Ward who is an instant upgrade over our current backups and will serve well alongside Yelich and Acuna once he is healthy. The pitching takes a bit of a hit, but with the young core we have established, we feel confident we can take the hit as the Fram still has loads of talent, including ones also near the Show.

This trade is mainly about upgrading the C spot for the Angels. Giving up 5 years of Ward hurts as I think he?ll be a solid MLer for years and his value with be higher by the end of the year. That said turning a bonus baby and a future 7th into a couple decent pitching prospects is good as Angels are always on the hunt for pitching just like real life

Question?I had Kurt Suzuki last year but he technically went to FA this past off-season before I resigned him. I?m guessing that also makes him ineligible to be dealt until mid season? I?m asking for purposes of us reworking the trade

Yeah, it's any FA or Extension signing. All those players should have a red 6/1 on the spreadsheet by their name.
