Fantrax finally tallies past stats correctly, so I can get an accurate statistical history for our league. While looking at everything the biggest thing that sticks out is the Ducks are crazy good, but their most dominant year was in 2013 not last year when they won the cup.

Also the Avs have been in just devastatingly close playoff games. They lost in 2013 - 199.7 to 199.75 to the Red Wings and 136.3 to 137.7 to the Bruins in 2012. That is a loss of .05 and 1.4. They lost two games with a combined total of less than a single goal. Ouch.

Also we've only ever had one team win it all that had to play out of the wildcard round. The 2011 Hurricanes, which played in the closest final ever only a 20 point win over the Ducks, so it isn't likely the 4 teams playing now will be running the table. But, there is a chance.

If it helps the Bruins have twice scored the least amount of points in a playoff week for that given year (one of those times being the lowest ever), and twice lost in the finals (only team to do that). Rob might want to see if he offended a billy goat or traded away the greatest hockey player of all-time and try to make amends.

Yea, some small masochistic part of me is glad I'm not in the playoffs...
