Houston does this to solidify a nice bullpen piece with no cap hit for next year.  This eases my stress of FA bidding!

Phillies move a piece that will not be around when I'm able to contend.  Ian Krol is a 22 year old who dominated the time in AA last season and held his own in Washington, I only expect him to improve at his age.  Luis Cruz showed what he could do once he reached the Texas League after getting beat up in hitter friendly leagues the last 2 seasons.  Cruz should reach Houston as a September call up next season and be a bullpen mainstay by 2015.  The international money will further help the rebuild.

Who are the 2 AA guys. Krol spent half the season in the majors. Cruz is high strike out lefty that the scouts I have personally spoken to like as a reliever in the short term and a back end starter 3-4 years from now. You obviously overvalue closers. Over the past 3 years half of the teams went with a different closer than the year before each season. Grilli is 36 had some are trouble this season and didn't retake the closer role Melancon until the playoffs.  There's only a handful Riveras and Kimbrels out there. Grilli isn't one of them first season as a closer next will most likely be his last.  Phillies return is young, effective, cheap and under team control for 6 years.  That's how it's even.  Quit your whining.

I approve this trade.

However i find Jss0062's reaction to the post of Fitzy1962 rather immature.
Everybody has a right to an opinion.
If he/she thinks a trade is lop-sided that's his/hers prerogative.

Don't think it's necessary to call someone a whiner just for expressing an opinion.
Have a little respect for eachother please.

Actually, he is a whiner.  He's had his trades shot down for being lopsided and now he's after everyone's trades because he's chosen to behave like a child rather than take responsibility for his own actions and conduct trades in good faith.
