Post by: Dan Wood on December 16, 2009, 05:04:25 PM

Jays send to Reds

P Marcum, Shaun, $0.5m (2009) - Marcum was recently extended for 1 year at 4.5 mil - the Reds would like to extend that contract for the max 3 years - which would be an additional 2 years.
P Ryan, B.J., $9.5m (2010) + 3.5 mil

for

OF Spilborghs, Ryan, $0.5m (2009)

Jays to confirm

:iatp:  The loss of Marcum is worth it considering his injuries and the salary dump of Ryans.  Spilborghs is a worthy OF3/Util candidate if gets enough playing time.
