Title: Seattle/Washington trade
Post by: kylerap on June 11, 2013, 04:55:59 PM

Seattle receives:
C Gomes, Yan, $0.5m (P-n/a), signed 2/14/13
OF De Aza, Alejandro, $5.5m (2014), signed 2/19/12
-Wash pays $2m on De Aza in 2013 only

Washington receives:
MI Hoes, LJ, $0.5m (P-n/a)
OF Garcia, Avisail, $0.5m (P-n/a), signed 2/13/12
SP Guerrier, Taylor, $0.5m (P-n/a)

Seattle does this deal to acquire a young OF that we like and a good bat as well.  We have an excess of young guys and needed to package them for a veteran that was still young that we like.

Thanks Eric.  Washington to confirm.

Nats confirm

I Continue my rebuild in DC. I really like the potential of Garcia over Aza.  Hoes I am hoping will stay at MI for Baltimore but that's wishful thinking. Homes imo won't keep up what he's doing so I move him for specs that I like even more.

Good doing business Kyle

DeAza has $1.5m paid in 2013 which needs to be added to the trade.  Is Washington paying an additional $2m?

just a total of 2 mil.  so 0.5 from Wash in addition to the 1.5 m already paid
