This drop will not get you under the cap because there is a $0.5m Cap hit on kearns if he is dropped. You will need to drop someone on a prospect contract or a contract bigger then $5m.

So what If I drop CI-OF Lee, Carlos, $6m (2013)

How would that affect me?

That will cut $0.5m from your cap if he is dropped now.  It would cut $1.5m if done after the trade deadline so you might want to drop someone who is on a P-contract.
