there's a 60 or 70$ cost to fantrax... something i picked up the tab for in 2012-13.
to keep this a competitive league where new owners manage their teams properly, i'm thinking certain teams when available should be priced at $10 - $20 to ensure the next owner is committed to building a winner and staying active.
example, :LA: :MON-NHL: :PIT-NHL: are currently FNHL owned and have competitive rosters, :CLG: to a lesser extent so Kings Habs Pens will cost a new owner say 20$ whereas the Flames on the lower end of the scale.
extra funds after the fantrax fee is paid-off go to the Stanley Cup champ... might be $5, could be $50.
alternatively, the 16 play-off teams can pay 5$ each and the Stanley Cup Champ gets the remaining 20$ in the pot.
BTW, fantrax offers a fee collecting feature and doesn't take a cut from the purse.

pending 2013-14 franchise values for buy-in:
:PIT-NHL: = $20
:MON-NHL: = $20
:LA: = $20 TBC
:VAN: = $20 TBC
:CLS: = $15 TBC
:CLG: = $10

Is this a done deal with new owners buying in?

Yes.
Also, to cover the cost of the fantrax fee, start this season I will allow existing owners with at least one FNHL season under their belt to buy a second team with basic rules in place to avoid any conflict of interest with their original team.
I will post a separate note about that later.

So will there be an actual prize pool? I'm guessing only if the Fantrax fee gets covered?

This is another bad executive order. Did you clear this by anyone Pigs?

I think Pigs wants to cover the cost of fantrax. Unless you want to pay it Boston?

Pigs and Freak47, I'll see if I can help with recruiting some new owners. So buy in is 20 bucks right?
