Title: Hawks and Ducks Complete 7 Player Deal
Post by: PsychoticPondGoons on May 04, 2013, 12:23:33 AM
TO :CHI-NHL:
Derick Brassard, $3.2m (2013-2014)
Jack Skille, $1.5m (2013-2014)
Nick Schultz, $3.5m (2013-2014)
Brian Lee, $1.7m (2014-2015)
Round 4 - 2013 (WSH)

TO :ANA:
Travis Hamonic, $4.7m (2014-2015)
Drew Stafford, $3.9m (2013-2014)
Bryan Little, $3.0m (2014-2015)

My Hawks are going through a mid-life crisis and needed a good old fashion roster makeover. My man Cloud volunteered to help us out.

Hawks shed a tiny bit of cap and I like the pick. I think Ducks wanted to move some contracts they didn't love anymore. Hamonic and Stafford didn't really fit our plan after coming over in separate mid-season deals so it was time to part ways with them. In fact I think they were somewhat disruptive in our dressing room. LOL

Thanks Cloud. That was a good quick deal!  :toast:

:iatp: not sure what direction the teams are heading as Ducks are adding salary while the cap is coming down and Blackhawks are giving up more and getting less talent-wise.

however both teams have done a great job rebuilding since taking ownership of their respective teams so i'm fine with this trade.

I think its a good shake-up for both team. Brassard might flourish with NY and Skille is relatively young, so this may be a more even trade than it appears.
