The Boston Red Sox (http://www.profsl.com/smf/index.php?topic=98.0) have let go Samuel Robinson due to extended inactivity and absence without notice. Considering this is a popular (and a good one at that) team that many GMs would love to have, this position will be open for an extended period of time. Any GM who managed one franchise for this entire season will be considered for the job if they wish to transfer. Please post here if you are interested.

Being a diehard red sox fan, i would love to join the league as the red sox
You are currently the only one interested, but since you are external, you will have to compete with others on the waiting list.

I own Red Sox in an ESPN league this season, thus I am very familiar with them. I would love to have this team in this league next year.

The decision on the management of this team will be made within the next ten days. If Jeff's Tigers make the playoffs and he is awarded the team then he will not take over the team until after his season is finished.

Do Jeff and I have a closed cage match to decide or what is the process lol. The Sox are my boys.
The process has a lot of bias toward current GMs. Jeff is very active in the league and on ProFSL. On top of that, the Marlins GM has interest in the job. I am giving it another week to see if others want to join the competition. I want to hear everyone's reasoning for taking the job and what they plan on doing this off-season.
