Title: Astros / Rockies Trade
Post by: yahoolando on March 14, 2013, 11:19:48 AM

Heading to Colorado :COL:
P Wandy Rodriguez
HOU pays $5m (2013)

Heading to Houston :HOU:
P Jhoulys Chacin - place on MLB squad
P Juan Nicasio - place in AAA
C Jorge Fernandez - place in GCL
P Yency Almonte - place in GCL

Houston is rebuilding and Wandy only has one year left so we get some investment for the future for our #2 starter.  Paying the $5m helps out with the Rockies cap room and was expendable by us.

Good luck to Colorado on their championship pursuit.

I approve. I upgrade my rotation and give up some younger players that will help Houston in the future.
