Title: TRADE: Cats + Ducks reshape roster
Post by: PigsRule on March 06, 2013, 02:01:37 PM

:ANA: ANAHEIM get:
LW/C - Kyle Palmieri, $0.2m (2013-2014)
RW - Brian Gionta, $2.0m (2013-2014)
LW/RW - Kris Versteeg, $2.8m (2014-2015)
D - Wade Redden, $0.8m (2013-2014)

:FLO: FLORIDA get:
D - Lubomir Visnovsky, $5.6m (2012-2013)
LW - Matt Cooke, $1.8m (2012-2013)
RW - David Moss, $1.6m (2014-2015)

D - Mark Mitera ((2006: 1/19 - 0 Games)(MINORS)

a little back and forth with :ANA: after i initiated talks to look into trading for Moss resulted in me pulling the trigger on this package which i think is good for my trade partner's future and helps my cats add some strong players for my playoff drive.

visnovsky is going to be a gamble as he is in and out of the Islanders' lineup and may or may not retire from the nhl yr-end. but adding moss + shift disturber cooke is something i'm excited about.

although i'm giving up an extra active roster player, it'll help me make another future move to help my playoff chances.

:ANA: to confirm. nice dealing with you cloud91! :toast:

:iatp: Ducks win here. Florida's giving up more and getting less but not going to hurt their team so why not.
