per earlier warning... teams cannot modify their winning bid.
this is the last FA with a modified winning bid that will be processed.
moving fwd, any modification to a winning bid will nullify the team's bid and the player will be award to the next highest winning bid.

also, read the rules on FA bidding. you are bidding on Total Contract value, # of yrs of contract can be posted after the bid has closed.

this separate Andre Benoit FA bidding thread was invalid
1.5 million per year for 3 years....
...as the :VAN: owner had already bid and won with a bid of 4.0million.
thus the contract will have to be 2.0m per but since this is over the 1.5m minimum for a 2yr deal, the contract must be extended to 3yrs.
