Title: Phillies - Yankees deal
Post by: papps on October 15, 2012, 03:50:52 PM

The Phillies and Yankees have agreed to a deal.

Phillies receive:
OF Brentz, Bryce, $0.5m (P-n/a)
SP Sanchez, Anibal, $11.5m (2013)
CI Drury, Brandon, $0.5m (P-n/a)

for

OF Brantley, Michael, $0.5m (P-2013)
CI-OF Cuddyer, Michael, $9m (2014)
Phillies pay 2m in 2013

I'm taking a chance here hoping Brentz is in the starting OF for Boston next year.  Even though he K's a lot I think he will be good hitting in Fenway and has lots of upside.  Sanchez will provide me with another starter I really need.  I'm looking to go younger at the CI position so Cuddy was expendable.

Thanks for the deal Dan!  :toth:

Brantley still has to be sent to the Yankees.
