CI Craig, Allen, $0.5m (P-n/a)
4-22 SD (from ATL)
Cardinals trade:
MI Rollins, Jimmy, $8m (2010)
X-MI Rollins, Jimmy, Cash from HOU, $-4.5m in 2010
This improves the farm system, adds another draft pick for the EDR, and frees up some more salary. With Gonzalez and Theriot at the MI position we can afford to move Rollins. Cardinals agree and Padres to confirm.

I do this trade to aquire an MLB player. Rollins will be a cheap extension and will be a nice piece moving forward. I move some good minor league depth, I think Allen will be ok, and a 4th round pick. However, I am wealthy with picks and at some point you can't win without starters. Easy deal to complete.
