In order to address the 1.5M overage as of 9/10/12, the Rays release the following:
MI/CI Cody Ransom 2M*0.75=1.5M cap hit for 500K savings for 2012
RP Wilton Lopez 1.5M*0.75=1.125 rounded to 1M for 500K savings for 2012
RP J.J. Putz 1.5M*0.75=1.125 rounded to 1M for 500K savings for 2012
Also drop C Steve Clevenger 0.5M (p-n/a) no cap hit to account for recent selection of OF Brandon Thomas in the amateur draft.
