X-CI Jones, Chipper, Cash Exchange on Contract through 2012, $-3.5m in 2012   $-3.5m               
X-CI Jones, Chipper, Cashed exchanged on Contract 2013, $m in 2012      $-1.5m   

ATL to pay $1.5m in 2013

for

P Lamb, John, $0.5m (P-n/a)
OAK pay $0.5m in 2012 to make neutral cash deal this year.

You get something for a player that will not play another game for your team.  Lamb was a top 100 prospect prior to TJS and is recovered to begin strong again next season.  Bring in Chipper for the stretch run.

Chipper jones cleared waivers earlier in August.  The deadline for waiver trades is before September 1st.  Since this deal was posted after the september 1st deadline this deal is not valid.

Invalid trade.  Chipper Jones cleared waivers August 22nd.

3) If a player isn't claimed by any team in either league, he can be traded until the end of the month to anyone.
