Could you believe opening this up and reading it. Wow bad. I would have to know nothing about hockey.

Rory Fitzpatrick for Seguin and Rask
You cant say no to that deal, fitzpatrick was almost an all star 2 years ago.

Do you really have to call out owners for trade proposals? Is it really that hard to just decline and move on?
-
Boston personally I believe that's a tactless move to negotiate or call out and post another owners trade offer.
-
Nah, it's not private, this is the internet. Its a worthy discussion thread. And, trade proposals are leaked in real life all the time. If the owner is insulted I posted it they should be insulted for sending it!
-
It's private between the two of you
Personally I wouldn't post what someone offered me on the main pages, yes its a lobsided offer but theres no harm in trying to get a steal
-
lol))) i got same offer from the ducks same players and my best goalie for it
-
This is the web and there are no secrets.
Again, don't be so sensitive about it.
Clearly the ducks think the rest of the league is clueless!

I'm sorry... This is a gutless move to post this. Very much a douche-bag play if I've ever seen one.
Yeah I've received bad offers in my time and absolutely I've made some awful offers but you don't call the person out publicly.
Just a dumb, gutless play.
I'm sorry but I had to say this. If I get the boot I do. It this was a freaking dumb ass comment.

Being in this league I am appalled that a member would call out another because of a trade proposal.
That is low class and is not needed here or in any fantasy sports league. I read this and thought it was a joke that a person would do that.
I guess not.

:iatp: A PMed trade offer should never be posted.

3 things:
1) i left this thread open to allow other teams to comment on it.
traditionally, calling out another GM/team/player is at the discretion of the commissioner and usually for inappropriate behavior / actions (mind you, if the commish does something inappropriate, it is the job of the GMs to state it ideally privately, then if needed publically).
in this case, the original post disclosing a PM'ed trade offer was submitted by an ex-commissioner. with 30-teams, i felt it was important to allow ppl a chance to have their say and i'm glad ppl have been consistent with the message that should be communicated here:
it's un-professional to post a trade offer or negotiate in public.
2) however, i will also say let's keep emotions in-check and not start slandering someone for out'ing another GMs perceived "bad" offer, because that's also not professional conduct either.
3) from a :TC: perspective, the trade offer by :ANA: was understandable given :BOS-NHL: 's earlier posts RE having very little cap space to work with and cap space in a cap league is an asset. :ANA: was offering $7.0m in cap space to :BOS-NHL: - a significant amount of cap to be relieved of.
thanks all!
