this is a quick note, perhaps just a warning that my florida panthers are around and waiting to get the season started. we did most of our player shopping in July via trades and now that our heads are scrapin' the cap ceiling we have to sit out free agency...
make no mistake, if we had cap space or felt the need to make more moves we'd be out there elbowing our way through the mob to get what we needed. :P
...i wish i had some cash to go FA shopping. :(

I'm more appalled at the dollars being spent on players right now lol. I mean yeah I'd like to improve my team but I don't want to have nothing left in the tank for next year and beyond by giving $4-$6m on average guys... Maybe I should just open a bid on a player for like $50m and hope it sticks for 48 hours, haha.
Would have loved Kane or Marchand, but to rich for my blood :(
On that note - The Avs are open to any and all trade offers on any and all players minus good prospects like Huberdeau/Kuz etc, and our one and only goalie Corey Schneider. Well, unless another goalie comes back.
But we obviously suck and won't win this year so we'll sell just about anyone if the price makes sense!

Oh, i feel bad. Here I was thinking it was poor cap management. :rofl: Actually I'm happy because it means one less team to bid against. :toth:
