The White Sox extend a warm welcome to the new Orioles GM by trading Carlos Quentin ($3.5m 2012) and Neftali Feliz (P-n/a) for Nick Markakis ($11m 2014) and pick #2-2.

Feliz didn't stay long.  I like this move for the Orioles because they replace Markakis' fat contract with an easy $3.5m for Quentin.  Losing the high pick could hurt, but they get Feliz out of the deal and his prospect status hasn't started yet as he only had 31 IP in 2009. :judge:
