Oakland is making this deal to have a team that will compete next year.  Almost the entire lineup is full and should have an opportunity to compete and could play spoiler to finish out the season. Hated to lose choice but Markakis is already producing in the major and riemold should be healthy next year.

It should be clear to everyone that THE Baltimore Orioles need to be building for the future.  So the addition of two picks and a possible stud like Choice is a good move.  Riemold has never caught my fancy and while Markakis is good he wasnt in my long term plans.
