I am making this trade to actually put a lineup on the field.  Mastroianni and Mazzaro are signed for the next 4yrs so they hopefully will be depth for the A's down the road.  Max Stassi even though he is the #17 prospect, he has been hurt.  I am not sure about him coming up and I am not fond of catchers until they can prove themselves at the major league level.

I will make corresponding roster moves as long as the trade is approved.

The Marlins are making this trade to free up some roster space.  There is talk of V Mart and Mariano Rivera being able to return at the end of the year and currently there is no roster room for them.  Mastroianni and Kearns have rarely seen the field for the Marlins and this trade gives them an opportunity to play in Oakland.  This trade frees up the roster space needed and the Marlins receive something without the chance of getting nothing if someone has to clear waivers.
