After releasing the corpse of Scott Kazmir the Reds needed some pitching. This trade will fill that void. Edmonds was a 5th OF on my team, and I like Mateo better than Mesoraco, although the Reds aren't very good at picking international FAs (hint teach some discipline). Braves to agree.

Braves Confirm.
First off, I would like to dismiss the rumor that I have an affinity towards prospect C's. They simply seem to fall into my lap. Mesoraco is playing good in AA and Mateo is only 17, which means a lot can happen. I re-acquire my 3rd rd pick which replaces the top 100 pick I lost in the Chavez deal. Ole Slim Jim may also find some PT with Heyward on the DL.
