Toronto is very pleased with this trade. Jordan Staal's offensive numbers should increase immensly now that he is in a front line role with his brother Eric in Carolina. I am weak at RW so acquiring a solid fantasy point RW in Neil helps my depth. I believe White will at the very least maintain his FP points from last year.I traded 3 players with expiring contracts and the only 1 that I was keeping was Versteeg at a very good price of 2.8 mil. Kulemin and Schenn are inline for huge contract increases and were being released to FA. Thank You very much for the easy negotiations Piggy, you Rule.

yeah, this is what i call the "i'm a genius or a complete idiot" deal!
i contacted thunderblade to inquire about his expiring contracts. will the stink of Ron Wilson be lifted from Nik & Luke ... and can the latter get lucky in philly, can Kris V and the real panthers improve on their 2011-12 performance ... i'm banking on the answers to those Q's being "YES".
so my :FLO: take on 2.9 Million extra in cap hit... I had to offer :TOR-NHL: an incentive to make a trade since i knocked on his door. tough to move Jordan Staal but you have to move quality to get quality.

yeah, i like the players i'm shipping off to :TOR-NHL: as well. sigh.
i'm hoping that i'm not over-doing trades and completely ruining a 2nd place team. but you know what, it wouldn't be interesting if i just stood pat AND you don't get any braggin' rights finishing 2nd either. :P
i like to try different combos and see what works better. we'll know by december whether this was a no-brainer deal or a "no brain" deal. :rofl:
