Title: Pirates trade McCann to Angels for Butler

I have been comfortable with McCann as my backstop since I acquired him a while back but I feel I gain a longer lifespan of production out of Billy Butler.  This was a tough move to make but the deal gives an excellent pair of 1B/3B (not to mention Alvarez/Freese still there) while it realigns the Angels for their playoff run.

Halos accept.  This deal allows me to have a better catcher now and for the future.  V-Mart and Polanco will come back along with Hochevar giving me a lineup full of fairly consistent hitters and pitchers.  Butler was nice to have but Overbay is hitting now, V-Mart, Betancourt, and Polanco all qualify at CI and I have other guys to man the position.
