Title: Offseason Topic #1 - Fantrax
Post by: SizzRat on July 03, 2012, 12:33:01 AM
Last year we had the league split in two and it was a major hassle when it came to signing free agents and making trades. A nominal fee would give us the ease and convenience needed to keep this league fun and exciting.

If you are opposed to paying the $2 league fee, please leave a comment with an alternate suggestion, and we can vote on that if it gets enough support.

It would be way better to have the team on one page.

As I stated before as long as the ProFSL scoring system can get more defensive stats then I say we go there for our league. We can have all the teams on one page and hopefully have the same statistics.

I think it would be very difficult to get all the teams to pay a small $2 fee.

My vote would be to stay on Fantrax.  We did the $2 in another league and everyone paid it.  I don't think people will quit.

Definately will pay the $2 if needed. If Profsl is a option and works well then keep it on home site.

i prefer not to pay and don't mind the split format to avoid charges. given the somewhat volatile turnover rate in the league i'd like to avoid costs for now. if we get a good group of managers and there's stability, sure... i'd pay to play.

BTW, a suggestion on how to split the league... consider teams drafting fellow division mates startuing with the 2 lowest ranked teams selecting a division rival, etc. we use that format to create new divisions annually in one of my paid leagues... everyone picks their own poison so to speak. :)

I prefer not to pay. It is not the $2, it is the fact that I am not set up with paypal or anything like it. Maybe we should check out the profsl scoring service.

We need to be on one league page, I would like to use the ProFSL scoring.

2 leagues was pain in the arse... but managable. I would be all for having one main page either on fantrax or profsl.

SizzRat confirmed on July 11, 2012 that FNHL will be played out in 2012-13 on the ProFSL scoring system.

Folks,

I sent everyone a PM with this information a week or so ago, but I wanted to touch base with some information.
...

4.) The league will most likely be on ProFSL's scoring system because many people have expressed disinterest in paying for Fantrax. More to come on this in the future.
