Title: Oakland and Kansas City Complete Trade
Post by: kungfuwig on July 02, 2012, 08:57:08 PM

Kansas City gives....

SP Greinke, Zack, $9.5m (2012)
+ pays $8.5m in salary in 2012

Oakland gives...

OF Jacobs, Brandon, $0.5m (P-n/a)
P Duffy, Danny, $0.5m (P-2014)
P Syndergaard, Noah, $0.5m (P-n/a)

Kansas City drops...

P Hyatt, Austin, $0.5m (P-n/a)

I am not going to be able to sign Greinke next year and am now looking to the future after a disappointing couple of weeks. I get a solid OF prospect that I was looking for as well as two pitchers who should be very solid in the future. Oakland to confirm.

Confirmed.  I am going for it.  Greinke is most likely a rental unless I rob a bank soon.

I get a Stud SP.  I give up two very good, young arms, Snydergard could be Greinke comp in a few years.  Jacobs is one heck of a RB as well, oh wait, very solid, well rounded OF spec with power.

Freddy, appreciate the negotiations.
