Title: Executive Committee
Post by: SizzRat on July 02, 2012, 02:59:33 PM
Folks,

I am looking for some help for the executive committee for this league. The executive committee would help in processing trades in Fantrax and on our roster pages. Beyond that, they would help with rule clarifications and general questions.

As it stands right now, I have hockeyfreak6000 & hockeyfreak47 to assist, but I'd like to have 5 total. If you are interested, shoot me a PM with stating your interest and why you think you'd be a good fit.

I look forward to your replies!

Suggestion:

Regarding processing trades on fantrax, could it be possible to enable/allow managers to process their own trades on fantrax upon TC approval.

Yes, it would mean using the honor system and trusting managers to only process trades that are TC approved.

PROs:
- 1 less transaction for EC to process manually.
- managers are accountable for their actions.
- non-approved trades can be "undone" by the commish is needed (i believe that's the case - TBC)

CON:
low risk IMO - illegal trades being pushed.

I would be opposed to this as allowing all members to be commissioners on fantrax also allows them to change their line-ups whenever they please as well, that I believe is the only way to allow this.

I believe having EC members with defined jobs is the best. I know hockeyfreak47 is great with fantrax and runs Rebel now as well so as long as a defined position is given I see no problems with the EC doing transactions or their workload being too much.

if allowing mgrs to process their own deals on fantrax gives them access to additional functionality, then i understand and agree with you drew.

thx for clarifying how fantrax operates.
