Maximum and Minimum Years
<= $1.4m, 2 years
$1.5m - $5.4m, 3 years
$5.5m - $7.9m, 4 years
>=$8m, 5 years (the overall limit)
I didnt realize we didnt have a choice in the number of years of the contract. just so everyone knows when FA bidding starts, because FA is bid by total contract value we can only bid in the following ranges.
.4M - 2.8M in .2M incriments
4.5M - 16.2M in .3M incriments
22M - 31.6M in .4M incriments
40M and higher in .5M incriments
if someone bids 40.1M and someone else bids 40.4M they are really the same contract, 8.1M for 5 years.

Do not recall the bidding increments that you have posted for this league. Only reference is increasing bid by 1 mil after bidding has reached 10 mil. Can you post a link to this please & thanks.

I was just doing the math but the 1 mil increase is another factor. My point is since our contracts dont give us the options for the number of years we should be bidding with the one year contract value. So if you bid 20 mil you can not fit that bid in our contract limits. it would be 6.666M for 3 years or 5M for 4 years, both are invalid.

This is correct however a 20M bid is still a valid bid. When that number is bid you just have to round the contract up to 5.5M for 4 years. The ranges you said above are correct however when the bidding is taking place you can bid whatever number you would like as long as you raise you bid by at least 1m once the bidding reaches 10m. I can bid on a player for 2M and then decide to give them a $1.5M three year contract. The only thing is after I bid 2M the minimum contract I can give them is $1m for 2 years.

yes since any bid from 17M to 21M will all end up the same at 5.5M 4 years it is pointless to bid in that range.

True it is pointless but they would still be valid bids.
