Title: Twins-Pirates trade
Post by: Colby on June 25, 2012, 02:48:49 PM

:PIT: Pirates receive
CI Hafner, Travis, $5m (2012)
X-CI Hafner, Travis, Cash exchanged on Contract 2012, $-2.5m in 2012
+ $2m in 2012

:MIN2: Twins receive
P McGuire, Deck, $0.5m (P-n/a)
OF DeShields, Delino, Jr., $0.5m (P-n/a)
P Hunter, Tommy, $2.5m (2013)

Pittsburgh loses a couple prospect here and a starting pitcher in order to clear salary cap space and bring in another CI.

I do this to get some good prospects in return for Hafner who I dont really need since I am not going for it this year. I also get a decent pitcher who can hopefully turn it around.
