Title: Reds/ Nationals move some weight
Post by: Dan Wood on May 19, 2012, 02:15:05 PM

Anyone else know that FGM stands for female genital mutilation? Food for thought...

Reds get
C Buster Posey 4M (2015)
CI-OF Huff, Aubrey, $4m (2012)
CI Catricala, Vincent, $0.5m (P-n/a)

For
CI Ortiz, David, $5.5m (2014)
SP Baker, Scott, $4m (2012)
P Wheeler, Zack, $0.5m (P-n/a)

I do this because I need me a catcher, and eventually (2013) was going to have one too many CIs. This move is more of a belief in the abilities of Butler, Ike, and Belt than a disbelief in Papi. That and I didn't have enough white guys on my team. Jake to confirm.

Nats confirm. Really like Big Poopy's production, and I've heard a lot of great things about Wheeler.

Thanks Dan-o.
