CI-OF Lee, Carlos, $6m (2013)
Giants will pay the $5 million in 2012
C Doumit, Ryan, $4m (2013)
X-C Doumit, Ryan, Cash Exchange on Contract through 2012, $-3m in 2012
OF Duncan, Shelley, $1m (2012)

Twins trade:
OF Murphy, David, $2.5m (2012)
MI Rhymes, Will, $1.5m (2013)
X-MI Rhymes, Will, Cash exchanged on Contract 2012, $-1m in 2012, $-0.5m 2013

With Morneau hurt and Soto struggling, I get a CI and C to fill in. I give up Murphy but I already have Jones, Saunders, Tabata, and Gardner is going to be back soon.

This trade gives me a starting OF in David Murphy, which given the Giants propensity to start multiple line-ups, is a premium.  With Evan Longoria's injury, Wil Rhymes is getting some consistent playing time as a CI and he fills a team need.  I also get to clear a roster space for an impending free agent and I get some cap relief for 2013.  I ask the Trade Council to approve this trade.
