I do this to land an ace in Brett Anderson plain and simple. Dunn is a monster in this format and he will be missed. This trade also gives me a body up the middle, and a young OF in Stubbs. Thole is a loss but Mesoraco has reintroduced himself on the prospect scene. Myers and Javy are pretty much a wash in talent and numbers. This takes away a little of my thunder this year if Anderson is in fact done for the year, but this deal will be more useful for me next year when Roberts and DeRosa are around to fill out my line up. My team is good but I can't compete with the best of this league head to head, hopefully this trade will make that a different story next year. MTK to confirm.

Somewhere I feel as if Steinbrenner himself is smiling down on me. This trade started from a simple "Is Stubbs avail.?" question. I HATE to see BA go, but I would be lieing if I said his injury didn't scare me a little. Stubbs is just one of those guys I like having on my team. The loss of Infante, Javy, and Bradley don't affect me at all when I see that Thole, Myers, Balfour, and Westbrook come to town. This trade is massive like Dan said and fits into what we both want to do at the present. Ok, Phillies, you fired first with the addition of Matt Holliday, and now it's my turn!
