Title: Miami and Pittsburgh trade
Post by: molinator on April 26, 2012, 10:52:46 PM

:PIT: receives:
MI Desmond, Ian, $3m (2012)

:MIA-MLB: receives:
MI Casilla, Alexi, $1.5m (2013),
C Flowers, Tyler, $0.5m (P-2014)

Miami do this trade to acquire Flowers that will be the future behind the plate for the Miami Marlins, when Pierzynski contract expires. And receive Casilla that will replace Desmond for a while.

We lose one of our top prospects in Flowers to get a much needed MI upgrade.  Thanks for the easy negotiations Samuel.  Also, the EC should note that Desmond's contract should be $3m (2013) as noted by the intentions of Samuel in October 2011 - http://www.profsl.com/smf/index.php?topic=36801.msg187925#msg187925.
