ESPN's Pedro Gomez is reporting another trade from Anaheim. The complete firesale of the farm is just about complete with Conger and Kiker going to Chicago. In return, the Halos bring in a decent starting pitcher who is under contract through 2011. Injured Gil Meche and his $22m in liabilities goes to Chicago to complete the financial flush that the Angels GM has been tasked to do by ownership.
:LAA: to :CHC:
C Conger, Hank, $0.5m (P-n/a)
SP Meche, Gil, $11m (2011)
SP Kiker, Kasey, $0.5m (P-n/a)
:CHC: to :LAA:
SP Correia, Kevin, $1.5m (2011)
CI Lowell, Mike, $12.5m (2010)
X-CI Lowell, Mike, Money paid by COL, $-2.5m in 2010
P Albers, Matt, $0.5m (P-2010)

Accepted.. A very atypical move by me, but I never thought Correia would product like he has this year. With that said, I feel that Meche has the brighter future for 2011. On top of that exchange, I gain a top catching prospect to pump up the farm.
