RP Guzman, Angel, $2m (2012)


White Sox
OF Markasis, Nick, $11m (2014)
4 M per year from 2011 to 2014

Where money in the bag
= 7M if the bonuses associated with a prospect contract cannot be traded
= 0 if bonuses assocaited with a prospect contract can be traded

Bonuses have been included in deals before and their hasn't been a  new rule saying this was no longer allowable.

So far bonuses have only been moved when stated in the trade post

ChiSox agree. I bring Hudson home, Ely can start immediately, Borchering and Rosario are top 5 prospects for their respective clubs. Guzman,whose injury appears to not as serious as originally thought, can be a valuable addition to my pen.
If the trade is approved I'll make necessary roster adjustments

Approved.  I like Markakis, but the White Sox certainly are receiving enough talent in return.

Jake is right that it is quite a haul, but now the Rockies have Markakis for only $21m over 4 years.  That is a good haul in itself!
