Title: Edmonton Roster Moves

Edmonton GM has announced the following roster moves:

Resign
G - Sergei Bobrovsky: 2.8m for 3 years starting in 2012-2013 (21st ranked goalie in 2010-2011)
LW - Dustin Penner: 2.4m for 3 years starting in 2012-2013 (49th ranked left wing in 2010-2011)
LW - Linus Omark: 0.2m for 2 years starting in 2012-2013 (unranked in last 2 seasons)

Release
C - Gilbert Brule

Buy-Outs
Jody Shelley - Due to make 1.1m through 2012-2013 (will pay 700k next season, saving 400k)

These roster moves leave the Edmonton Oilers with 5m in available cap space for next season.

Please note the 5m available cap space is based on the pending trade of Matt Carle to Tampa Bay for a 2nd round draft pick.

since the APR9-12 :EDM: extension request wasn't processed, it was voided by the May 18-12 trade to :PHI-NHL: .
