Title: Minnesota/Seattle Trade
Post by: Lindner on March 22, 2012, 12:10:42 AM
Well, I knew speedster and I would get a trade done eventually.

Minnesota gives:
1B Chris Parmelee (2012 $440k; 2013 $480k; 2014-2016 ARB years)
SP Adrian Salcedo (MiLB - MN's #13 Prospect)

Seattle gives:
Fransisco Lindor (MiLB - CLE's #1 Prospect)

Minnesota does this deal because "Lindor" looks and sounds a lot like "Lindner".

Seattle to accept.

But in all seriousness.....

Man, oh man, oh man, oh man.  We REALLY love Parmelee here in Minnesota..  This guy can really hit and is the future at 1st base for Minny.  Unfortunately, we came across a player that we just couldn't say "no" to and his name is Fransisco Lindor.  We have a could young shortstop prospects, but none quite like Lindor.  We think this kid has what it takes to be real Major League shortstop; a perennial all-star even.

We are excited to welcome Lindor to Minnesota where he will be a fixture for years and years to come.

I accept this trade because I believe Parmelee is going to be the next big stud at 1B for years to come and my team is hurting badily for a 1B.I hate losing Lindor but I get Parmelee and a really nice pitching prospect in return.Great dealing with you Lindner  :toast:

We like Parmelee a lot!  He hasn't shown much power in the minors yet, though.  I'll be cheering for him nonetheless.  He'll be playing for my Twins for a long, long time.

Think it's a real even trade for both teams, three very good prospects. Hard to believe Parmelee is only 23, I think he has 15-20 HR power with a good OBP and will get his opportunity. With Salcedo being a nice flier. With the Twins getting back a heavy hitting SS that fits his team's timeline.
