Title: Rangers and BlueJays trade
Post by: Fourfingerwoo on March 15, 2012, 11:47:44 PM
The BlueJays send

Brandon Morrow: 2012{$2,300,000}, 2013{ARB}
$1,000,000
Andrelton Simmons SS Braves

in exchange for

Chris Davis 1st: 2012{$480,000}, 2013{ARB}, 2014{ARB}, 2015{ARB}
Roughned Odo 2nd baseman Rangers
Jorge Alfaro Catcher Rangers
David Perez SP Rangers

I do this trade because it fits my franchise philosophy, of building from the bottom. But mainly because I have 6 starting pitchers heading into 2012 and not much in terms of at bats. I believe that Chris Davis is going to be a very serviceable major leaguer for a small window and that window is right here in the time line of his contract.

I like this trade to add to my pitching staff,Morrow is a nice #2 starter who can give me good stats for this year hate to lose Davis and i also give up a few good Spects but Morrow is what i was looking to add to my pitching staff also get a little cap to help with the transaction

Looks even to me.  Toronto gets more younger talent and Texas gets a boost at the major league level.
