Title: Royals / Rays Trade- 8/3/26 4:43P
Post by: ldsjayhawk on August 03, 2026, 04:33:11 PM

Royals trade
Jaisson Dominguez 1st
David Shields PC

Rays Trade
Josh Naylor $4m 2027

Especially with Garcia down, I have a hole at CI.  I think the Yankees hate Dominguez, so I'm ok moving on from him, as I have other OFs to cover me.

Rays Confirm.

Similar to the Royals, I am trading from a position of Strength for a position of weakness.  I have ALOT of CI's that I have to keep a good one or two on the bench, but get stuck playing Ozuna, the Young's, and Schneider in my outfield every day.  Now I can plug in Dominguez, call up Clark, and get a up and coming pitching prospect in Shields to replenish my Minors.  Naylor is currently the best player in the deal, but I am not sure we will be saying that in a few years.

Once trade is processed, please call up Max Clark and put Shields in the minors.

Good doing business with you Royals!
