Title: Giants look to extend new acquisition

The Giants are pleased to announce that they have extended the contract of newly obtained SP Homer Bailey through the 2012 season.

2008 Rank- 1275
2009 Rank- 1241

Based on the following information, modifying his present contract to run through the 2012 season would keep his salary at its present level of $.5m per season. Correct? Hope I did this one right.

Everything looks good except a $500k contract can be no more than two years so it will run through 2011.

Oh ok,  I thought it was two years in addition to his current contract, but since I'm extending I guess it replaces the last year of his current contract. That's fine, whatever I'm able to do I'd like to do, so if its 2011 then that works for me.
