Title: Dodger/Yankee trade 2/4/26 8:04P
Post by: dennymcc23 on February 04, 2026, 07:45:39 PM

Dodgers trade:
Austin Wells C (NYY) $0.5m (2027) and Kerry Carpenter OF (DET) $4m (2030)
to the Yankees for:
Yainer Diaz C (HOU) $0.5m (2026)

Giving up a great C for middle of the road C minus $$ with pick up of a super OF
in Carpenter.
Thanks for the trade Dodgers!

Dodgers agree.
The numbers for both catchers were pretty much the same last year (1343/1304). We're including a surplus OF in Carpenter hoping Diaz returns to 2024 form.
Thanks Yankees for the trade!
