Rays send RP Takashi Saito 1.5M (2010)
to
Athletics for CI Hank Blalock 2.5M (2012) 1.5M paid by Cubs (not certain it's Cubs) in 2010
A's get a dependable RP while Rays get a AAA guy hopefully set to get a chance with the big club soon.
Athletics to accept

Confirmed.
I need an additional RP, Saito is a good arm. Blalock is raking at AAA now, but his contract was a bit much through 2012.

:iatp:
Yep, that Blalock cash is from the Cubs (X-CI Blalock, Hank, , $1.5m in 2010). Not much flare in this trade.. an old reliable reliever for an infielder who lost his pop from his Rangers days on the verge of a major league comeback with the real life Rays (right?).

Trade Approved. Don't see any huge talent shift in this trade.
