Title: Pirates-Yankees Trade 1/15/26 12:17P
Post by: TheLongHorn on January 15, 2026, 11:49:57 AM

Pirates send:

P Brandon Woodruff $8m (2026)

P Brody Brecht PC

Yankees send:

P Framber Valdez $16.5 (2028)

P Mason Montgomery 0.5M arb 1

P Trey Dombroski PC

Pirates make this trade to flip Woodruff who could play his way into a real spicy contract extension so trying to get away from that. Higher on my two arms I?m getting back as long as Brecht is in Colorado.

Woodruff still has stuff to generate a potent  Brewer team plus a $$ savings and Bretch will be an upstart P for Rockies.
