Title: Detroit Tigers Drafted Players Assignments (2-20-2012)
Post by: johnbosma on February 20, 2012, 06:03:43 PM

Please place the following drafted players at each of the corresponding levels. These have been setup to make sure that my minors are in compliance with the roster requirements concerning age, position, and roster size. If the age and position requirements are not going to be strictly enforced for the minor league rosters (it seems like it would be pretty time-consuming to monitor them), then these assignments don't need to be as specific, which might make it easier to make these updates to the master rosters:

AAA Toledo
Austin Wood (P)
Andrew Susac (C)
Zach Cone (OF)

AA Erie
Will Roberts (P)
Ryan Woolley (P)
Trent Howard (P)
Jacob Tanis (3B)
Chad Zurcher (SS)

High A Lakeland
Brian Flynn (P)
Eric Potter (P)
Pratt Maynard (C)
Zachary Wilson (3B)
Chris Epps (OF)

Low A West Michigan
Andrew Jones (P)
Mark Blackmar (P)
Chris Bassitt (P)
Jhiomar Veras (OF)

Short Season Connecticut
Shawn Armstrong (P)
Jerad Eickhoff (P)
Zachary Good (P)
Nick Fleece (P)
Cody Anderson (P)
Tim Shibuya (P)
Jack Marder (C)
Greg Bird (C)
Tyler Goeddel (IF)
Chris McFarland (IF)
Jorge Vega-Rosado (SS)
Bradley Marquez (IF)
Riccio Torrez (SS)
B.A. Vollmuth (IF)
Terrance Gore (OF)
James Justin (OF)
Shawon Dunston Jr. (OF)

GCL Tigers
Cody Kukuk (P)
Clay Holmes (P)
Amir Garrett (P)
Daniel Camarena (P)
Hayden Sharp (P)
Zachary Davies (P)
Kevin Comer (P)
Jalen Harris (3B)
Justin Atkinson (SS)
Christopher Bostick (SS)
Jackson Whitley (1B)
Jerrell Allen (OF)
Darien Martin (OF)

DSL Tigers
Thomas Robson (P)
Sal Romano (P)
Robert Paullus (P)
Tanner Peters (P)
Nick Valenza (P)
Andrew Faulkner (P)
Luke Guarnaccia (C)

VSL Tigers
Austin Malinowski (P)
Bradley Dragmire (P)
Paul Davis (P)

(Maybe it'd be easier to just have a max number of total minor league players for a club's entire system and then specific requirements regarding age and position within that one big pool of players, if desired. That way there would be less player movement within the minors, thus fewer transactions to enter?)

I am adding a section in each organization's roster that will automatically count the number of players in each team and automatically tell me how many players are over the age limit. That will make it pretty easy to monitor.

I am considering abandoning the 10 pitchers rule in the Rookie teams.

Where do you want to place Shawn Morimando?

All others processed as Transactions 1068-1124

Oops, sorry about that. I'd like to place Morimando on the VSL Tigers roster.

Thanks!
