Williams- $1m + $0.5= $1.5 + $150,000= $1.65m or $2m
Rogers- $3.5 + $2 + $1= $6.5+ $650,000= $7,150,000 or $7.5m

Lopez' contract is 0.5MM(2026), so I would need to buy him out also.
Looking at your math and the rulebook, I think I slightly miscalculated the buyout amount. For Rogers, my logic was (0.75+0.5+0.25) * contract amount, then round up that number to the next increment of 500k. Your logic (which not surprisingly is correct) is to round up each year to the next increment of 500k, then add them together, then round up the total again to the next increment of 500k. That actually gets to the same buyout amount for Rogers but a higher buyout for Williams. I'm still pretty sure that I can drop Lopez within my cap, but I'm going to drop a prospect just in case. Sorry for the confusion @BHows

The hit against the cap is rounded to the nearest $500,000. Therefore, if it ends up being less than $250,000, the hit to the cap will be zero for that year.
Traditionally we have always rounded up. The though being that you have to pay at least the calculated amount. Rounding down wouldn't provide for that. Buyout rules specifically call for rounding up to the nearest $500K increment. CAP rules imply you can round down
I rounded down on Williams' Cap hits both years
Rogers' 2025 actual hit is $3.375 rounded to $3.5, 2026 $2.250 rounded to $2m. 2027 $1.125 or $1m
Add them up= $6.5m x .10%=$7,150,000 rounded up (by rule)= $7.5m
