Title: Trade: Pirates/Athletics
Post by: DaveW on August 03, 2025, 04:41:21 PM

Athletics trade:

Nick Castellanos RF PHI 16.4MM 2025

Pirates trade:

Ryan O'Hearn 1B/RF SD 5MM 2029
Ronny Cruz SS WAS prospect
pick 8-NYM

Athletics approve.  I have a glut of RFs and Castellanos is on an expiring contract.  O'Hearn's contract is very reasonable and he'll be great at either UT or a backup 1B for the next few years.  Good luck @Brian and thanks for the trade talks!
